My Bio
I'm Alex, a 26-year-old woman living in southern Sweden together with one ferret, two cats, and three chinchillas. While I do a lot of different things, this account is intended to primarily showcase my textile art; mostly needle-felting with a bit of embroidery and possibly also knitting thrown in.
Most of the original works showcased here are for sale unless it's noted that they were made as gifts. While I do produce fan-work on occassion, I do so exclusively as gifts or for my own pleasure, and not for sale or on commission, as I wish to avoid stepping on other artists' rights.
All work is sold with a portion of the proceeds going to charity; for the catfish this charity is a semi-local cat shelter, and for most other things it is Kiva.org.

Just uploaded a scan of my grandmother's Christmas gift. I should be uploading photos of further crafted gifts soon; one of the gifts I forgot to get a photo of before sending it off so I'll have to wait to ask the recipients to photograph it for me.

Apparently my impulse control isn't as fine as I like to think it is - I ended up spending the better part of a day creating a visually pleasing new layout for my website and getting it to work. This also means there's now a blog on my site, which I'll be using to talk about progress on projects (currently you can see a bunch of progress shots of the bullfinch, there), materials, resources, and other things related to the arts and crafts that I do.

Current Projects

So the plan is to semi-regularly update with an idea of what's on my plate crafting-wise.
Top priority right now are two projects: I want to rebuild my webpage from the ground up, preferably integrating Wordpress, which likely means building a skin from the ground up, something I've never done before. Before I get too absorbed in that, I need to build another page that uses Wordpress as its CMS more or less exclusively, for a client.
The other project is a needle-felted pair of dolls with articulated shoulder and hip joints, an anthropomorphic unicorn and a dragon. My best friend got married earlier this summer, and I decided to make them a
